Minnesota International Middle School
Founded in 2000 by educational leaders in the East African community, this public charter school ultimately seeks to prepare students for successful and productive lives as United States citizens while allowing them to retain their unique cultural heritage.
Minnesota International Middle School (MIMS) offers both Arabic and English so that students are well prepared for a bi-cultural world.
As a public charter middle school, MIMS is open to all students, but our program is inclusively designed to meet the unique needs of international students and their families have in a culturally sensitive environment. There is no cost to attend MIMS.
Our educational partners (www.ubahmedicalacademy.org and www.twincitiesinternationalschool.org) provide a complete k-12 education for siblings.
After School Program and Summer School Program: MIMS also offers an after school and a summer school program that helps students practice and prepare for the Minnesota state assesments. Courses in reading and writing to assist our new language learners are also offered.
